- The agreement will make critical technologies available to the Spanish Defence that will strengthen its operational capacity.
Madrid, October 17 2024-. Amper Group and BAE Systems (which includes the historic British Aerospace, among others companies) have signed an alliance that will allow the Spanish company to strengthen its technological capabilities and make strategic defence technologies available to national defence with an appropriate component of value contribution by the national industry.
The agreement, signed today in Madrid by the CEO of Amper Group and the General Manager in Spain of BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, contributes to consolidate the presence of the Spanish company in the Defense, Security and Communications sector, one of the Business Units of its Strategic and Transformation Plan 2023-2026, launched in May 2023.
With its presence in the areas of communications, protection systems, electronic warfare and equipment and systems for naval and air platforms, the Amper Group reaches with this agreement the promotion of innovation and the availability of critical technological capabilities for national defence, which includes the possibility of signing technology transfer deals.
“We are proud to be able to partner with BAE Systems, one of the leading global companies in the defence sector,” said Enrique López Pérez, CEO of Amper. “BAE Systems not only has critical strategic capabilities, but also shares with us our vocation to work in alliance with national companies and contribute to strengthen our industry through technology transfer,” he added.
For BAE Systems Digital Intelligence, the British Defence and Security giant, this agreement means deepening its presence in Spain, where it is already a reference, and improving cooperation with the National Defence industry.
