Engineering for offshore wind energy
At Amper, we are experts in offshore wind energy engineering, such as: spar, semi-submersible and Tension Leg, as well as Station Keeping System (SKS) anchoring system design of semi-submersible floating platforms for wind turbine support, using catenary, tension catenary and pre-stressed cables. In addition, our team of highly skilled engineers performs the performance testing of the wind turbine/platform/SKS system by means of coupled modelling and the design of electrical systems and evacuation cables.
We also offer solutions in the design of fixed foundations for installations serving the offshore wind industry of any type, such as mono-pile, jacket and gravity structures. With our expertise in offshore wind energy engineering, we are committed to providing advanced, high quality solutions to help our clients overcome the unique challenges presented in this offshore environment.
Amper is comprised of
IberBlue Wind
It is a company specialising in the design, development and management of floating wind farms, to operate in the Iberian market. It is formed by the Irish company Simply Blue Group, a leader in the initial development of floating wind turbines, and the Spanish companies Proes Consultores, an engineering consultancy integrated in the Amper Group, and FF New Energy Venture (FF NEV), a specialist in the promotion of renewable projects.
IberBlue Wind will analyse and study opportunities for the generation of several gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind energy on the peninsula, through an operating model specialising in the promotion of wind farms with an average capacity of 1 GW and with the potential to supply electricity to hundreds of thousands of homes.
